Mood Rings
Calmed colors shift to paint the scene,
A blue dawn fades to a soft sea green.
Amid the tides, dark pools make me seen.
Thoughts stream, I'm gone in a blink.
My pupils dial to the beat of my dreams.
Numbered time is hard to believe.
Milky shades swirl as fruity loops bleed.
Sight becomes a sore sense of reality.
I look to the stars hoping they'll help me see.
I'm down-to-earth with my warm heartbeat.
Soft green fades back into blue dawn seas.
My soul knows my eyes like a pair of mood rings.
